The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has revealed the reasons behind the power outage in some parts of Lagos and Ogun states.
The EKEDC, in a statement issued by its General Manager, Corporate Communications, Babatunde Lasaki, on Sunday, apologised to its customers over prolonged outage experienced in the affected areas.
Lasaki, however, said the outage was caused by faults in some of the company’s power distribution transformers.
He added that the company’s technical team is currently working on prompt resolution of the faults.

The EKEDC spokesman assured that power would soon be restored to the affected customers, saying: “We are, therefore, appealing to customers to bear with us, as normalcy will be restored sooner than later.
“EKEDC highly regrets any inconveniences caused by this outage.”
