Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El‑Rufai on Monday appeared before the Kaduna State High Court as proceedings resumed in a case instituted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
El-Rufai is being tried alongside Amadu Sule over allegations bordering on abuse of office, fraud, attempted fraud, and conferring undue advantage.
The former governor arrived at the court premises at about 9 a.m. amid heavy security presence, attracting supporters, legal practitioners, and members of the public who gathered ahead of the session.
Court proceedings were expected to continue with arguments from both the prosecution and defence teams, as lawyers prepared to make submissions during the hearing.

The court has scheduled a bail hearing in the separate matter for April 14.
