Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has re-appointed Muhammad Bashir Sa’idu as his Chief of Staff.

Sa’idu was the Commissioner for Finance since 2019 until his new appointment.

He was first appointed as Chief of Staff in December 2016.

El-Rufai also appointed a former Commissioner of Education, Dr. Shehu Usman Muhammad, as Counsellor (Political), while Jamila Haruna was appointed as Special Assistant on Intergovernmental Relations.

This was contained in a statement made available to The Star on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Commission, Muyiwa Adekeye.

Adekeye noted that the appointments took effect from Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Saidu joined the government in 2015 as Commissioner of Local Government and was first appointed as Chief of Staff in December 2016.

On the other hand, Muhammad previously served as a permanent secretary and as a commissioner in the ministries of Education and Local Government.

Haruna, who has worked in logistics and as a staff of the Presidential Committee on North-East Initiative, graduated with a degree in Economics in 2009 and earned an MBA in Human Resources Management in 2016.

Meanwhile, Governor El-Rufai has assigned the Accountant-General, Shizzer Bada, to cover the duties of the Commissioner for Finance.
The governor has also appointed Aminu Sambo, Director of Treasury Operations, as a Permanent Secretary.
