Enugu governor joins APC October 14

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah will on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC)

Mbah is expected to join the ruling APC alongside elected national and state lawmakers, members of the state executive, and party leaders across Enugu State.

The Enugu State APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Dr Ben Nwoye, disclosed this after taking the oath of office at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Friday, October 10.

Nwoye revealed that the governor and his cabinet members would officially be received into the ruling party on October 14.

The APC National Working Committee (NWC) had on Thursday dissolved the Enugu State Working Committee (SWC) and appointed a seven-member caretaker committee to oversee the party’s affairs in the state.
