‘Fake news’: El-Rufai denies joining PDP

The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has debunked rumours that he has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

El-Rufai made this known via a post on his X account on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

The former governor described the rumours as fake news, saying he had referred the lead peddlers of the fake report to his lawyers for legal action.

Sources: Why police arrested El-Rufai’s ally, Bashir Sa’idu

“Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers,” he stated.
