Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has been slammed on Twitter after he lamented the huge amount of money to clear his new Lamborghini at the Nigerian port.
Davido had in December 2021 announced the purchase of the brand new Lamborghini Aventador worth over N275m, saying the car was an early Christmas gift.
The award-winning singer, however, took to his Twitter handle on Wednesday and expressed displeasure over the cost of clearing his new car.
He further enjoined Nigerians to pray for the country saying: “U don’t even wanna know how much I just payed to clear my lambo… Pray for Nigeria … Jesus.”
However, the tweet was greeted with condemnations as some Twitter users knocked Davido for bragging about his activities.
A tweep, @Swordsman29797, wrote: “Bros your mates dey do am without much noise . We don know say you buy lambo.”
@shirex9 said: “You brag too much bro. Wizkid buys chains that are more expensive than yours. Stop bragging.”
Another user also tackled the singer for complaining, while there were people in the country who find it hard to survive.

“Lambo is not our problem bro. We average Nigerians just want to survive,” another tweep, @Casbilli wrote.
Another Twitter user, @classicremmy, added: “It seems you came to this life to buy a car, you’ll gather Africa money through streaming and shows, then go abroad to blow it with cars.”
The new Lamborghini will join Davido’s already extensive garage of expensive cars, which include several Range Rover, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, amongst others.
The Star recalls that Davido, on March 7, 2022, gifted himself a new Mercedes Benz Maybach 2022 SUV.
This comes barely a few days after the self-acclaimed Omo Baba Olowo (child of a rich man) had a successful concert at the 02 Arena in London.
The famous Hip-hop artiste recently declared his 2022 goals saying: “I’m buying five more cars, a private jet and three new houses in 2022.”
