Ekiti State Governor and presidential aspirant, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has vowed to tackle the security challenges bedevilling the country if elected as president in 2023.
Fayemi, who said he is better equipped to tackle the security challenges, noted that insecurity remains a great concern of all the challenges bewildering the country.
The presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reiterated his readiness to take “Nigeria further on the path of greatness” if elected as president.
Fayemi, who is the chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, made this known via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Friday.
He stated: “In the last couple of weeks, I have travelled far and wide to share my vision and agenda for Nigeria.

“I have met with leaders, elder statesmen and women, youths, people living with disabilities and Nigerians from all walks of life.
“I have listened to their challenges. I am even now more persuaded to take Nigeria further on the path of greatness as your President in 2023.
“Of all the challenges we face as a nation, the security situation remains of great concern. This is why it is topmost on my agenda. Only through a secure environment will there be opportunities for economic prosperity and growth.
“I am better equipped to solve our security challenges because my dear state, Ekiti has the lowest crime rate statistics in the nation.
“Dear compatriots, I know the path to Nigeria’s unfinished greatness and I solicit your support to make this dream a reality,” Fayemi said.
