Fire has gutted the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) headquarters in Abuja.
The fire outbreak was confirmed via a statement issued on Friday by the NYSC spokesperson, Eddy Megwa.
Megwa stated that no life was lost in the fire outbreak which occurred in the early hours of Friday.
He said the fire was immediately put out by the Federal Capital Territory and Federal Fire Service Departments, adding that the inferno which started at about 7:30 a.m., was limited to the third floor of the six-storey building.

The NYSC spokesperson noted that the floor is occupied by Planning, Research and Statistics, and the General Service Department, saying the fire affected only a room with electronic gadgets.
“Fortunately enough, no life was lost and all vital documents were promptly evacuated and safeguarded.
“The management of the scheme heartily appreciates the Federal and FCT Fire Service Departments for their prompt response which minimised the effect of the incident.
“Management also appreciates all security agencies for the invaluable roles they played during the unfortunate incident,” Megwa stated.
