Five unidentified decomposed bodies were discovered along the Abuja–Kaduna expressway near the FCT–Kaduna boundary.
All the victims, reportedly male, were found lying face down with their faces blindfolded with black cloth, suggesting they may have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the location.
Police responded to the scene and recovered two empty AK-47 shells and an Android phone.
Photographs of the bodies were taken for documentation.
Due to the advanced decomposition and associated health risks, Hon. Danladi T. Iyah, Chairman of Tafa Local Government Area, directed the Social Welfare Department to carry out an immediate burial at the site.
The burial was conducted in the presence of the Hakimi and the Village Head (Dagachi) of Garam.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the identities of the victims and the individuals responsible for the killings.
