Five injured in herders–farmers clash in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed that five people were injured in a clash between herders and farmers in Ungogo Local Government Area.

The incident occurred at 2 p.m. on Friday in Sabon Gida Minchika village.

The victims — Abubakar Muhammad, Nasiru Miko, Umar Usman, Umar Sale, and Anas Usman — all residents of the village, sustained serious injuries during the confrontation.

They were taken to the Ungogo Primary Health Care Centre for treatment and later discharged.

Police said key stakeholders from both sides had been invited for dialogue to prevent further violence, noting that calm had returned to the community.
