Controversial singer Portable has thrown down the gauntlet at heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, declaring he would knock him out for a N1 billion fight purse.
The musician made the challenge on Thursday during a public face-off ahead of his scheduled exhibition bout against content creator Carter Efe, proclaiming himself the face of “Nigerian boxing” and insisting no one could snatch the “belt” from him.
Portable and Carter Efe are billed to clash on May 1 at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The singer had earlier revealed in February that he was paid N40 million to agree to the fight, with businessman E-Money and producer Soso Soberekon each promising him an additional N50 million and a car if he wins.
Carter Efe said he accepted the bout after Soberekon informed him that the victor would also pocket N50 million.
Portable is no stranger to the celebrity boxing ring.
He defeated social media sensation Speed Darlington in April 2025, and previously claimed wins over actor Charles Okocha in December 2023 and Kizz Daniel’s bodyguard, Kelvin Power, in February 2024.
