The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has debunked the reports that its personnel have started carrying guns or any other fire arms whether on patrol or any other official duty.
The FRSC made this known via a statement issued on Sunday by the Assistant Corps Marshal, Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem.
Kareem said the development followed the image of an FRSC officer who was captured on camera carrying fire arms in a position that suggests he was on official duty.

“The viral report should be disregarded in totality as it’s just but an old and recirculated image of an overzealous staff who posed with a rifle belonging to a sister agency’s staff in admiration and ignorance in 2018.
“The said staff has since been punished according to existing maintainance of discipline of the Corps,” he stated.
The Acting Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, while reacting to the viral image said officials of the FRSC do not currently carry arm, urging the general public to disregard the image.
