Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has approved the appointment of the Managing Director of Kano Road Transport Agency (KAROTA), Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, as Acting Managing Director of Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC).
The appointment was made known in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar, on Monday.
Anwar stated that the appointment was with immediate effect, adding that it remains effective till a substantive managing director is appointed.
“As Acting MD, Baffa will look into all corners of the Commission, both operational and others, with the view to putting things in good shape, before a substantive Managing Director is appointed,” the statement partly read.
It would be recalled that the former managing director of the council, General Idris Bello Dambazau (Rtd), recently resigned his appointment in circumstances related to corruption allegations.
