Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has appointed Ibrahim Galadima as the new acting chairman of Kano Pillars.
This was made known via a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, on Wednesday.
Anwar said Galadima’s appointment was with immediate effect.
“As part of routine exercise in sports administration, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state replaces the Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club (Sai Masu Gida), Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya, with the Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, Ibrahim Galadima.

“As Kano Pillars is facing more competition in National Premier League (NPL) it will be good to have leadership that could perfectly lead the Club.
“Ibrahim Galadima, Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, will now replace the current Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya, in an acting capacity, before the appointment of a substantive Chairman,” Anwar stated.
The former Chairman Surajo Yahaya was recently accused of misconduct on the pitch when Pillars were playing against Dakka FC.
