A Nigerian masseuse, Joyce Ijeoma, who is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest massage on different individuals, has collapsed.

Ijeoma, who commenced the 72-hour massage-a-thon challenge in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos State, on Saturday, July 1, collapsed after hitting 53 hours on Tuesday morning.

The current record for the world’s longest massage is held by a South African, Alastair Galpin.

Galpin completed the task in 25 hours and 4 minutes in Indonesia in November 2015.

A popular chef, Hilda Baci, had pulled off a 100-hour attempt to set a record for the longest cooking marathon.

Hilda Baci challenged the record of 87 hours 45 minutes previously set by an Indian, Lata Tondon, in 2019.

The chef was later certified by the Guinness World Records.
