Gunmen kidnap 4 Nasarawa varsity students

Gunmen have kidnapped no fewer than four students of the Nasarawa State University at Angwan Ka’are in the Keffi Local Government Area of the state.

The students were kidnapped by the gunmen following an attack in the early hours of Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Confirming the incident, the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba, had ordered the manhunt of the assailants to rescue the victims unhurt.

Nansel said: “The command is aware of the kidnapping at about 12:55 a.m. as a distress call was received that a house located at Angwan Kaare in Keffi was invaded by unidentified armed men.

“The police in collaboration with the military, responded accordingly and combed the area, but to no avail.

“The Commissioner of Police has ordered a manhunt for the culprits with a view to rescuing the four victims unhurt.”
