Gunmen kidnap bank manager in Zamfara

Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have abducted the Manager of Taj Bank in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, Mansur Kaura.

It was gathered that terrorists kidnapped the bank manager during an attack on his residence at Rijiyar Gabas in Gusau in the early hours of Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

The terrorists were said to have invaded the area with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically to scare people before abducting Kaura.

The abduction of the bank manager was confirmed by the Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yazid Abubakar, on Tuesday.

Abubakar said the Divisional Police (DPO) of Gusau and his men have been making moves to ensure the rescue of Kaura.

“From the report gathered, there is success for the rescue of the man from the criminals,” he added.
