Gunmen kidnap Kaduna monarch’s wife

Gunmen have abducted the wife of the traditional ruler of Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Umar Musa.

It was gathered that the monarch’s wife was abducted in an attack on Wednesday night.

Confirming the incident on Thursday, June 6, 2024, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, said the whereabouts of the traditional ruler’s wife was still unknown.

Hassan disclosed that the gunmen attempted to abduct Musa, adding that security operatives have since been deployed to the forests around Sanga in search of the wife.

The Ninzo Development Association, in a statement signed by its President and Secretary, Prof. Moses Audi and Silas Anche, respectively, condemned the planned abduction of their traditional ruler that led to the disappearance of his wife.

The association however called for calm with a view to allowing the government to live up to its responsibility.
