Gunmen have kidnapped the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Yakubu Lawal.
It was gathered that the commissioner was abducted at his country home, Nasarawa Eggon, on Monday night.
The commissioner’s kidnap comes barely two days after gunmen invaded the Nasarawa Eggon Government Science Secondary School and killed a teacher, Auta Nasela.
An eyewitness revealed that Lawal was kidnapped by gunmen numbering about 10 at his residence in the headquarters of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state at about 9:45 p.m. after the gunmen shot sporadically in the neighbourhood, causing panic in the area.
