Gunmen kidnap native doctor, kill aides in Anambra

Gunmen have kidnapped a popular native doctor, Chukwudozie Nwangwu, well known as Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki, and killed two of his aides at Oba in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

A resident of the area, who pleaded anonymity, said the native doctor known for exhibiting his affluence and power on social media was kidnapped from his hotel at Oba community on Sunday night.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident on Monday, disclosed that the attack occurred at about 11:30 p.m on Sunday.

“CP Aderemi Adeoye has ordered that operatives go after his abductors and ensure his release,” the police spokesperson added.
