No fewer than three policemen have been killed around a checkpoint in Oleh, the headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was gathered that the policemen killed were two police Inspectors, identified as Inspector Monday and Inspector Festus, as well as a mobile policeman on escort duty
It was learned that an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), identified simply as Chuks, also sustained injuries in the attack which occurred when the Team of Dragon Police Personnel was on stop and search while it was raining at I.D.U Roundabout in Oleh on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

A source disclosed that the police officers were taking shelter in a filling station from the rain when they were ambushed by six gunmen suspected to be armed robbers.
The source added that the gunmen made away with the police rifles and also burnt down the patrol vehicle.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command has yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
