Gunmen have killed the chairman of Ejemekwuru Customary Court, Nnaemeka Ugboma, in Ejemekwuru, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
It was gathered that Ugboma was killed while presiding over a court session on Thursday.
It was learned that the incident brought the court sitting to an abrupt end as lawyers and others in the court scampered for safety.

The killing of the judge was confirmed by the chairman of the Owerri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ugochukwu Allinor.
Allinor said the NBA would issue a statement on the incident.
Meanwhile, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, has yet to speak on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
