Harvesters Church announces N50,000 monthly allowance for unemployed members

Harvesters International Church has unveiled a temporary financial support scheme for its unemployed members, offering them a monthly stipend of N50,000 for three months.

The initiative was announced by the church’s Senior Pastor, Bolaji Idowu, during a worship service on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Idowu explained that the programme is designed to cushion the impact of job loss on members who actively serve in the church while they seek new employment.

According to Idowu, the assistance targets individuals who were previously employed but are currently without jobs, particularly those holding leadership or service roles within the church community.

“For the next three months, the church will provide N50,000 monthly to those who are in between jobs, to help them stay stable until they secure new employment,” the pastor told the congregation.

He noted that the gesture reflects the church’s responsibility to support its members in difficult times, stressing that the support would apply to leaders and workers serving in different capacities.

Eligible members, he said, are required to notify the church administration to be captured under the programme.

However, Idowu assured that there would be no rigorous screening process, citing the trust built through their commitment and service to the church.

The announcement was met with loud applause and appreciation from members, many of whom described the move as timely and compassionate.
