The management of Hensard University, Toru-Orua in Bayelsa State has commenced admission into 30 courses that are spread across five faculties.
All the admission processes are online, according to the institution’s management.
The university’s vice chancellor, Prof. Dileep Kumar, made the announcement on the institution’s website on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
“We are glad to announce that our admissions have started. All the details are available on our website,” Hensard’s Vice Chancellor said.
“There is a buffet of 30 courses to choose from and as has been stated we would avail students the best teaching and learning experience in the conducive environment of Toru-Orua,” Kumar said.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) gave the approval after its resources verification inspection team had a final look at the facilities the Hensard University was placing at the deposition of students.
Prof Kumar listed the approved courses as:
Faculty of Agriculture
Faculty of Arts, Social & Management Sciences
Faculty of Environmental Sciences
Faculty of Mass Communication & Broadcasting
Faculty of Sciences & Computing
“Hensard University anchors its uniqueness on its dual certifications, international linkages, access to global educational resources, experienced faculty and staff from Nigeria and abroad, research centres and institutes which work together to produce graduates who would be ethical entrepreneurs, leaders and change agents for the improvement of society,” Prof Kumar said.
He stated further that admissions are also open for the Hensard University Foundation School which is running a one-year programme on arts, social and management sciences, physical and natural sciences to prepare candidates for JAMB, GCE, NECO.
