Hoodlums have attacked a vehicle belonging to the lawmaker representing Okitipupa Constituency I in Ondo State House of Assembly, Chris Ayebusiwa, in Akure, the state capital.

Ayebusiwa said his GAC official car was attacked by some hoodlums on Oba Adesida Road in Akure on Saturday.

The lawmaker added three of his aides, including the driver and security officer, were inside the vehicle during the attack.

Speaking on the incident, the Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, condemned the attack and called on law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter, to bring perpetrators to book.

Oladiji, in a statement issued by the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Olatunji Oshati, on Sunday, described the attack as barbaric.

The Speaker further urged the people of the state to refrain from pointing fingers at any group.

Oladiji, who sympathised with Ayebusiwa on the incident, described the action of the attackers as uncalled for, noting that it was capable of disrupting the existing peace in Ondo State.
