The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its 2026 recruitment portal, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for entry-level positions across Grade Levels 07, 08, 09, 10 and 12.
According to the commission, the application portal opened on Monday, July 20, and will close on Monday, July 27.

INEC cautioned applicants that once a vacancy is selected, it cannot be changed. The commission also stressed that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and warned candidates against submitting false information or forged documents, noting that offenders would be disqualified and may face prosecution.
The vacancies are grouped into three categories.
The Professional Cadre (Grade Levels 09, 10 and 12) includes positions such as Accountant, Clinical Officer, Lawyer, ICT Officer, Engineer and Quantity Surveyor.
The Administrative Officer II (Registration Area Officer) position is on Grade Level 08, while the Executive Officer (Registration Officer) position is on Grade Level 07.
Applicants must not be older than 35 years and must possess a valid certificate of state of origin signed by the chairman or secretary of their local government.
They must also be medically fit, have no criminal conviction, be willing to serve in any part of Nigeria, and demonstrate integrity, discipline and commitment to public service.
Depending on the position applied for, candidates are expected to possess relevant academic qualifications, professional certifications and an NYSC discharge, exemption or exclusion certificate.
INEC said only shortlisted candidates will be invited to the next stage of the recruitment exercise.
