Hunters kill mother, son over alleged witchcraft

Hunters have shot dead a woman, identified as Uzarai Musa, and her son, Kladang Musa, in Adamawa State after they accused of witchcraft.

The woman and her son were killed by the hunters in Gulak, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

It was gathered that the victims were accused of killing people and inflicting sicknesses on the residents of their community for years.

They were, however, said to have been killed by two hunters to relieve community of the victims’ witchcraft.

The local security men, Hassan Solomon, and Uleri Shaba, were said to have claimed that the deceased ‘witches’ killed two of their relations and were responsible for other mysterious deaths and happenings in their community.

Reacting to the incident, the officer in-charge of Crack Squad of Adamawa State Police Command, CSP Ahmed Danjuma Gombi, said the 15 suspects have been arrested over the murder of the duo.
