‘I hope all is well with him’: Atiku speaks on Tinubu’s fall

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has empathised with President Bola Tinubu for slipping while boarding the presidential parade vehicle at the Eagles Square in Abuja, the venue of the 2024 Democracy Day celebration.

Tinubu slipped when he was about to step into the vehicle at Eagles Square on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

The president, after the slip, regained his balance and continued with the proceedings.

Posting the president’s slip video on his X account on Wednesday, Atiku, a challenger of Tinubu in the 2023 general election, described the incident as unfortunate.

Atiku: Tinubu’s govt diverting funds via petrol subsidy

“I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him,” the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate wrote.

Atiku recently lashed out at Vice President Kashim Shettima over claims that he benefitted from Tinubu’s goodwill when he was being “persecuted” in the PDP.

Shettima had said the former Vice President and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, once benefitted from Tinubu’s political goodwill when they were being persecuted.

The Vice President said Tinubu’s home in Lagos became a sanctuary for Atiku when he was allegedly being harassed, intimidated, and chased out of the PDP.
