A physically challenged voter, Aminat Akinsola, has commended election officials for the special consideration she received while voting in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
Akinsola, who cast her ballot at Polling Unit 6, Ward 4, Ejigbo, said the assistance provided by officials made the process easier and more comfortable for her.
“I’m so happy because I was treated with respect while I was trying to cast my vote. I was even the first person to be accredited,” she said.
She also praised the peaceful conduct of the election, expressing hope that the eventual result would reflect the wishes of the people of Osun State.
Security personnel were deployed at the polling unit to maintain order and ensure a smooth voting process.
Young voters were also organised into groups according to gender as part of measures to facilitate an orderly and peaceful exercise.
