Ibas appoints new heads for Rivers civil service, LG commissions

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), has approved the appointment of chairmen and members of the Civil Service Commission and Local Government Service Commission.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibibia Worika, announced the appointments in a statement issued on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

Worika stated that the appointments took effect from Monday, April 7.

Ibok-Ete Ibas appoints Rivers LG administrators

Dr Livinus Bariki was appointed as the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, while Lot Peter Egopija, Maeve Ere Bestman, Joy Obiaju, and Charity Lloyd Harry were appointed as members.

On the Local Government Service Commission appointments, Israel Amadi was appointed as the chairman, while Linus Nwandem, Christabel George Didia, and Dr Tonye Willie Pepple were named members.

Other members are Richard Ewoh, Rear Adm. Emmanuel Ofik (Rtd), and Dr Sammy Apiafi.
