The Golden Globe-winning actor lauded the city’s vibrant energy and rich talent pool, saying he had “so many incredible memories” from the shoot.

“He’s acted before, but this was special because he embraced his heritage. That was a real blessing,” the actor added.

Elba also recalled a memorable musical performance for the film featuring Seal and Nigerian singer Konstance, saying: “One of the big standout moments is this really amazing song that we wrote for the film, and Seal and Konstance performed it beautifully.”

Encouraging others to visit, Elba added: “Lagos, if you have never been there, is the most amazing city in the world. I had a great time – the talent there is incredible.”
