The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, has commended the Force Combat Athlete, Juliet Ukah, on her Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) 102 victory over South Africa’s Crystal Van Wyk.
Ukah beat, Wyk who until the bout was undefeated, on Thursday, April 23 in Johannesburg – South Africa by unanimous decision (30－26, 30－26, 30－27).
She also defeated Clodia Vochung Shivabo (IMBGIM FC) of Cameroun on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
However, the IGP, in a statement issued on Friday, April 28, by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, congratulated the police officer the officer for the feat and acknowledged the contributions of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to sports development in the country.

Baba commended the Ukah for making the NPF, and by extension, Nigeria proud, promising to continually discover and showcase new talents in the police.
Ukah is one of two Police Female MMA Fighters recently released by the IGP for a six-week professional training tour in Thailand.
Recruited into the Force in 2018, the talented Constable has continued to show tremendous promise, broad skills, and passion for excellence over the years, conquering the Boxing, Kickboxing, and now MMA world of Nigeria and Africa.
With the latest feat, Ukah, who now has an unbeaten streak after four professional fights (4 wins – 0 loss – 0 draw), is the African EFC Champion and the number one contender for the World EFC Female Straw Weight Title Belt.
