Imo ADC deputy spokesman slumps, dies

The Deputy Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State, Ugochimereze Chinedu Asuzu, has been confirmed dead.

The Imo ADC official was said to have died after slumping on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Asuzu’s demise was confirmed by the party’s Publicity Secretary in Imo State, MacDonald Amadi, on Thursday.

Court dismisses suit against Fubara’s suspension

Amadi described Asuzu’s death as a monumental loss not only to the ADC but also to the political landscape of Imo State.

Amadi also described Asuzu as a man of “uncommon intellect, conviction, and service,” adding that his dedication and contributions to the growth of the party will be remembered for years to come.

A native of Umuma Isiaku in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State, Asuzu combined academic brilliance with grassroots activism. He held degrees in Theology and Political Science and was pursuing a doctorate before his death.
