Iran’s Revolutionary Guards spokesperson killed in US-Israeli strike

A spokesperson for ‌Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its deputy of public relations, Ali Mohammad Naini, has been killed in ‌strikes launched by the United States and Israel.

The IRGC confirmed Naini’s death on Friday, March 20, 2026, warning that the war will continue until the “enemy is completely exhausted” amid more bloodshed and as Iran-Gulf tensions grow.

The Corps, however, didn’t mention the time Naini was killed. Some of the strikes hit eastern Tehran and other cities like Karaj, Kerman, Bandar Lengeh port and Kashan.

Naini is from Kashan and he’s a 68-year-old second brigadier general in the IRGC. He was appointed in 2024 as a spokesman for the IRGC.

Oil prices drop as US, allies set to boost supply

Just overnight on national TV, he said: “We have the capacity even in war to produce missiles.”

His death comes barely two days after Israel announced the killing of Iran’s Intelligence Minister, Esmail Khatib, in a “targeted strike” in Tehran.

“Khatib played a significant role during the recent protests throughout Iran, including the arrest & killing of protestors, and led terrorist activities against Israelis & Americans around the world,” the IDF said in a statement.
