ISWAP raid Yobe communities, loot health centre

Suspected members of ISWAP launched coordinated attacks on two communities — Ja Jibiri and Ladu — in Yobe State, injuring a village leader, abducting a driver, and looting a health facility.

The incident reportedly took place at about 12:20 a.m. on December 27, 2025.

During the invasion of Ja Jibiri, the village head, 45-year-old Lawan Hassan, was wounded in the shoulder.

The attackers then moved to Ladu village, where they kidnapped a 40-year-old Toyota Hilux driver, identified as Madu Kura.

They also broke into the Primary Health Care Centre and made away with medical supplies, valuables, and a Golf car.

Hassan was later taken to Geidam Hospital for treatment. Security agencies in the area have heightened surveillance and are working to track down the assailants.
