The Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a strong revenue performance in the fourth quarter of 2025, generating ₦14.68 billion—an increase of 35 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, disclosed this on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, while presenting the Command’s performance scorecard during a press briefing at its headquarters in Kabala Doki, Kaduna State.
Comptroller Hassan said the Command generated ₦14,686,256,270 between October and December 2025, up from ₦10,862,852,247 recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
This represents an increase of ₦3.82 billion within the three-month period.
According to him, the performance aligns with the Command’s core mandate of revenue generation for the Federal Government, facilitation of legitimate trade, and protection of national economic security.
“This achievement highlights the diligence, professionalism, and dedication of our officers and men who worked relentlessly to meet and exceed assigned revenue targets.
“It also demonstrates our commitment to supporting national economic growth,” the CAC said.
He explained that the improved revenue profile was reflected in month-by-month collections, with ₦5.16 billion generated in October, ₦3.83 billion in November, and a significant rise to ₦5.69 billion in December.
Comptroller Hassan assured that the Command would sustain the momentum through strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening revenue collection, supported by collaboration with other service units.
He added that continuous engagement and sensitisation of stakeholders, including local and trading communities, would remain central to the Command’s operations to ensure compliance with government fiscal policies.
The CAC attributed the strong performance to motivation from the Service’s management, which he said boosted officers’ morale, as well as the effective deployment of intelligence and reconnaissance by the Monitoring and Compliance Team, leading to improved compliance and enhanced revenue outcomes.
