The Kaduna State Government has appointed chiefs for the newly established Dnata chiefdom in Kagarko Local Government and Arak in Sanga Local Government Area of the state.
Dnata chiefdom was created from Jere emirate, while Arak was restructured from Gwantu chiefdom.
The Special Adviser to the Kaduna State Governor on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, made this known via a statement made available to The Star on Thursday, noting that the appointments were part of the state government’s reform of traditional institutions.
Adekeye noted that Bitrus James was appointed as pioneer Chief of Dnata, while Balarabe Abdullahi Karma was appointed as Chief of Gwantu.
He stated that the former Chief of Gwantu, Brig.-Gen. Iliya Aliyu Yamma, was appointed as Chief of Arak, adding that the appointments were with immediate effect.
