Kano Hisbah arrests TikToker over obscene videos

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested TikTok creator Ukasha Yahaya, popularly known as UK International, over videos allegedly showing him in intimate and bathing scenes with women.

Hisbah Deputy Commander General, Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrest on Thursday, saying Ukasha was picked up after the board received intelligence that he had entered Kano.

The 27-year-old, who is from Gusau, Zamfara State, and lives in Abuja, is being held while investigations continue.

During questioning, Ukasha reportedly said he could not remember how many videos he had made with women, adding that some had attracted between one and three million views.

He said the women featured in the videos approached him because of his work as a content creator.

Ukasha also reportedly said his mother and others had repeatedly warned him about the content and that he was considering stopping such videos as he prepared for marriage.

He apologised and promised not to repeat the acts.

His TikTok account, UK INTERNATIONAL, has more than 262,000 followers and 2.4 million likes.

Aminuddeen said the TikToker would be charged to court after the investigation and warned youths against using social media for content that violates religious and moral values.
