Katsina 2023: APC guber candidate picks commissioner as running mate

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Dikko Radda, has picked the state Commissioner for Budget Economic Planning, Faruk Lawal Jobe, as his running mate ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.

The Chairman of Gwagware Media Organisation, Ahmed Abdulkadir, disclosed this via a statement issued on Thursday.

Abdulkadir noted that the selection of the commissioner followed the voluntary withdrawal of the former running mate, Yusuf Musawa.

“Faruk Lawal Jobe is the current commissioner, Budget Economic Planning in Katsina State.

“You may recall that Faruk Lawal Jobe, who hails from Ƙanƙara, in Funtua Senatorial District of Katsina State, also contested for Katsina State Governor but lost to Dr. Dikko Umar Radda at the primary election,” he stated.

Abdulkadir added that Musawa withdrew from the race voluntarily after wide consultations with relevant stakeholders.
