A group, the Concerned Kebbi State Youth Vanguard, has called on security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission to investigate the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over alleged fake ballot papers, fake INEC officials’ ID, and other materials of the electoral umpire used for the just concluded governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

Addressing newsmen on Friday in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital, the leader of the group, Hassan Yauri, said based on the information gathered, the PDP governorship candidate’s wife was an official of INEC.

Yauri alleged that she collaborated with some officials and used fake INEC election materials during the elections, adding that some printing press were used in printing the materials.

“We want to use this medium to call on security agencies to investigate PDP for using some fake election materials, and also they should investigate the INEC Collation Officer Prof. Yusuf Saidu who is a closed friend to the House of Representatives candidate, Prof Sabi Danladi Mahuta, who lost the election to the APC candidate under Fakai, Danko Wasagu, Zuru, and Sakaba Federal Constituency.

“We are Non-Governmental Organization; our mission is to promote unity, economic growth, and democratic governance in the state and we discovered that the INEC Collation officer is bias and sentimental in discharging his duties.

“We all aware his relationship with the other professor who lost the Election; they are in the same office in Usman Danfodio University Sokoto,” he said.

The group leader said there were some information circulating in Kebbi State that PDP members in the state used fake INEC materials, “and that is why we are calling on the authority concern to investigate the matter and prosecute the perpetrators.”

Yauri stressed that despite the alleged irregularities committed by the PDP in the state, “they still lost the elections to the ruling party”, adding: “We are appealing to them if the allegations level against them is true, they should honorably back out of the contest and accept defeat.”

He, therefore, thanked security agencies, journalists, and INEC for the peacefull and successful conduct of the elections in Kebbi State.
