Kebbi LG chairman dies at 47

The Chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Zayyanu Muhammad-Bello, has been confirmed dead at the age of 47.

His death was confirmed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, Ahmed Idris, on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Idris stated that the local government chairman died in the early hours of Thursday at the Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, following a protracted illness.

He said: “Kebbi State Government wishes to use this medium to extend its condolences to his immediate family and the entire people of Maiyama Local Government Area.

“We pray to Almighty Allah to forgive all his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.”

The governor’s aide added that the late council chairman was survived by two wives and three children.
