Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has announced he is leaving the Premier League club at the end of the season.
De Bruyne, who is City’s captain, announced this in a post on his social media accounts on Friday.
He said: “These will be my final months as a Manchester City player.
“Nothing about this is easy to write, but as football players, we all know this day eventually comes.
“That day is here – and you deserve to hear it from me first.
“Football led me to all of you – and to this city. Chasing my dream, not knowing this period would change my life.

“This city. This club. These people… gave me everything. I had no choice but to give everything back! And guess what – we won everything.”
De Bruyne, whose deal expires in the summer, signed for City in 2015 from Wolfsburg for a fee of £54.5 million.
The 33-year-old midfielder will go down as one of City’s greatest players after winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and the Champions League.
Kevin De Bruyne was also part of Pep Guardiola’s treble-winning team in 2020/21.
