A Nigerian woman has shared a disturbing experience she allegedly encountered while travelling from a community near Akure, claiming she feared she was being kidnapped after boarding a suspicious commercial bus.
The woman, identified on TikTok as @maamileemah9294, narrated the incident in a video posted on the platform, saying she had waited by the roadside for more than an hour before eventually boarding a bus heading towards Ilesha.
According to her, she became uneasy shortly after the journey began when she noticed that most of the passengers in the vehicle appeared to be asleep.
She said her initial assumption was that the passengers were exhausted from travelling a long distance, but her concern deepened as nearly everyone in the bus remained asleep, leaving only one other passenger awake.
The woman claimed that her repeated requests for the driver to stop and allow her to alight were ignored. She added that the area had no mobile network coverage, preventing her from contacting family members or seeking help.
She further alleged that another passenger who was awake told her he had also been asking to get off the vehicle without success.
According to her account, the bus continued beyond her intended destination despite her pleas, heightening her fears that something was wrong.
The woman said she and the other passenger were eventually dropped off in a bush far from where they had planned to disembark. She added that she remains uncertain about where the other passengers were being taken.
The video has since generated reactions on social media, with many users expressing concern and urging travellers to exercise caution when boarding vehicles, particularly in unfamiliar areas.
The claims contained in the video have not been independently verified by authorities.
