The Lagos State Police Command has detained officers allegedly involved in a case of misconduct, following the emergence of a viral video showing operatives harassing youths in the Ojuelegba area of the state.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
The development follows a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as Ejikeme, which shows officers of the Anti-Cultism Squad harassing youths and confiscating their mobile phones at the Ojuelegba Under Bridge.
Adebisi noted that the officers had been identified and brought before the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, for questioning.
