Seven vessels have berthed at the Lagos ports, carrying petroleum products and other cargoes for discharge, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The vessels are currently at the Lekki, Tin Can Island and Apapa ports, where they are scheduled to discharge cargoes including diesel, bulk gas, crude oil, bulk urea and general goods.
The NPA disclosed this in its latest shipping position report released on Tuesday in Lagos.
The authority also said 38 additional vessels were expected to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin Can Island ports with various consignments.
The incoming vessels are expected to bring petroleum products, food items and other merchandise, including buckwheat, containers, fresh fish, crude oil, bulk gypsum, bulk sugar, aviation fuel, urea, petrol and wheat.
The NPA said shipping activities across the ports remained active, with both liquid and dry cargoes arriving steadily.
It added that 18 vessels were currently discharging cargoes at the ports.
The cargoes being discharged include containers, petrol, aviation fuel, crude oil, diesel, crude soya oil, bulk clinker, fresh fish, bulk gypsum, wheat and urea.
The latest shipping position indicates continued movement of petroleum products, agricultural commodities and industrial raw materials through Lagos ports.
