LASTMA official, others injured in Lagos crash

A crash involving a fully loaded tanker and six other vehicles has left an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and others injured in Lagos.

The clash which snarled up traffic around Gbagada Bridge on Oworonsoki expressway in Lagos occurred on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

Confirming the incident via a statement, the LASTMA Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, Taofiq Adebayo, quoted LASTMA officials as attributing the accident to brake failure, based on a preliminary investigation.

Adebayo said: “The truck crushed three commercial vehicles, three private cars and one LASTMA bike while descending Gbagada bridge inward Ifako on the expressway.
