The management of the Lagos State University (LASU) has opened a bakery to increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

The LASU Vice-Chancellor and visioner of the bakery, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji–Bello, made this known on Tuesday after she led some officials of the university to the bakery.

Olatunji–Bello, who urged the officials and students of the university to always buy the LASU Bread, said the bakery is part of the fulfilment of her administration’s fourth strategic goals – to increase the IGR with the aim of achieving the university’s financial sustainability.

The VC further directed that the LASU Bread should henceforth be the only bread that will be sold on the LASU Main Campus in the Ojo area of Lagos State.

Olatunji–Bello stressed that the bread is rich and tasty as others produced in Nigeria.

She, however, expressed her appreciation to the production and sales officials, urging them to offer the best service to consumers.
