LP Rep-elect: Tinubu is intelligent, prepared to serve Nigeria

A House of Representatives member-elect on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), Amobi Ogah, has described President Bola Tinubu as an intelligent man.

Ogah, who is the lawmaker-elect for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State, said he was proud listening to Tinubu, adding that the President is prepared to serve Nigeria.

He said this while speaking with journalists after Tinubu met with the National Assembly members-elect at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, June 8.

Ogah said: “Today is my best day. Today, I’m so happy that I’m an elected member seeing my president talking. In fact, I never knew that this man was so intelligent.

“He is so prepared to serve this country. During my meeting with him, I saw the love, the character, the charisma, and the belief that Nigeria can be a better nation.

“So I’m so glad that the meeting we have today is going to take us a little bit to a more stabilised House.

“Now, even without talking to us again, we have agreed that we are going towards the government’s decision,” the lawmaker-elect stated.

Ogah was declared the winner of the February 25 House of Reps election by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) after polling 11,822 votes to defeat his challenger, Nkiru Onyejeocha of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who garnered 8,752 votes.
