The 5pm Friday deadline set by Chelsea for Manchester City to make their bid for Enzo Fernandez has passed with no offer made for the midfielder.

It is now expected Fernandez, who is valued at £120 million by Chelsea, will stay at Stamford Bridge for the 2026/27 season.

It is also understood the verbally acceptable terms and conditions that were made to Fernandez’s representatives for potential interested clubs at the end of May are now off the table.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on X: “Chelsea consider Enzo Fernández no longer available at £120m as terms were made clear to his camp since May — effectively agreed as a ‘release clause’.

“#CFC happy to keep Enzo and continue with him.

“❗️ Manchester City maintained daily active talks with Enzo’s camp, in last 48 hours too.

Meanwhile, Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has turned down the chance to join Galatasaray.

Liverpool’s owners sell over 30% stake to Jeff Bezos-backed consortium

The Turkish club made an offer of around £38.9 million for the winger, but Martinelli is not keen on a move to Turkey at this stage.

Romano stated: “Gabriel Martinelli never considered a move to Turkey at this stage of his career as realistic option.

“Nothing expected to happen in the upcoming weeks with Turkish clubs, including Galatasaray.”

Arsenal are open to listening to offers for the Brazilian.

He has one year left on his deal plus the option for a further year.
