The Lagos State Police Command says it has commenced an investigation into the case of a 37-year-old man, who committed suicide in the Oshodi area of the state.
The command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known via a statement issued on Sunday.
Hundeyin noted that the death of the man was reported at the Akinpelu police division on Friday at about 6.05 p.m.

The police spokesperson disclosed that a distress call was received that the deceased allegedly hanged himself in his room in Oshodi.
He stated that police detectives were later mobilised to the scene, adding: “On arrival, the team met the lifeless body dangling on a rope, tied to the ceiling fan, anchored in the room.
“The detectives photographed the scene and evacuated the corpse to IDH Morgue, Yaba, for autopsy, while investigation continues,” Hundeyin said.
